Welcome to another edition of the “The Valero Verdict” movie review. In this I will give you a quick movie review with a couple of bullet points of which I either liked or disliked. I will end the review with rating of the movie and a short overall thoughts.
On the docket today, the “controversial” film The Hunt.
Plot: Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen – for a very specific purpose – The Hunt.

The Verdict:
*** out of ***** gavels
‘The Hunt’ is not perfect by any means and it has it’s underlining issues but overall the film worked for me. Gilpin showcased why she will be a star for years to come. The writers did a wonderful job of building this film around her and she took it and ran with it.
I was thoroughly frustrated with the reasoning behind ‘The Hunt’, I felt like they could have been more creative on that front.
The film works as a collective whole as a throwaway fun film that keeps you entertained.
Should You See It?: Yes. I do believe I would rent it this weekend. It will be available to rent this coming Friday on VOD for $19.99.
