Week 5 of the NFL season kicks off in Dallas. The Cowboys are at home, hosting the Buccaneers. The Cowboys have managed a 2-2 record despite a couple agonizing losses and some defensive struggles. The Buccaneers are still searching for a win and are entering Week 5 short-handed.

The Buccaneers will again be without Baker Mayfield, who has a thumb issue. Jaylon Daniels started in Week 4 and didn’t do much. He’ll have a short week to try and make some work of the Dallas defense. But the Dallas defense is missing a few starters who are out with injury, so could that lead to some fireworks on Thursday night? We’ll see.

For the Buccaneers, I have Daniels as a low-end QB2 option. I do like Bucky Irving, who could push for RB1 range. In the passing game, it’s been a struggle for Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin. It’s hard to trust them, even in a potentially decent matchup. Egbuka is a deep league flex for me at best.

For the Cowboys, Dak Prescott has been off to a hot start. The Buccaneers’ defense hasn’t slowed many down, so I like Prescott as a QB1 option this week. I like CeeDee Lamb as a WR1 option, too. George Pickens has had some big plays of late, so I like him as a WR2 with upside. I also like Jake Ferguson as a TE2 with upside. In the run-game, Javonte Williams had a big day in Week 4 with three touchdowns. But his rush efficiency has been off. I like him as an RB2 with some upside potential.
