Over/Under: Jacksonville Jaguars & Tennessee Titans

With the NFL season right around the corner (crossing fingers, toes, and nose), I am going to kick off a series where I breakdown each division in the NFL. Recap the key additions, subtractions from the offseason and tell you what you should bet on the Over/Under for each team.

Today I am going to transition into the the AFC South and tackle the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans.

Key Additions: Joe Schobert, Tyler Eifert, Rashaan Melvin, CJ Henderson, K’Lavon Chaisson, Laviska Shenualt

Key Subtractions: Nick Foles, Marqise Lee, Geoff Swaim, Calais Campbell, A.J. Bouye

Last years record: 6-10
Strength of Schedule:
.494 (22nd)
Vegas Over/Under Win Total:
5

Minshew-Mania took the world by storm last season. He went 6-6, threw 21 touchdown passes, and tossed six interceptions. He brought back the swagger for the franchise that hasn’t been around the last couple of years with Blake Bortles at QB.

Much to the surprise of everyone, Doug Marrone has not fired this past offseason, given one more chance to make things work this year. Marrone is going to have to have the defense look like it did in 2017 for the Jaguars to do anything, and with the trading of A.J. Bouye, I don’t foresee this happening.

They did make some moves this offseason but not enough to make an impact on the forthcoming season.

The Verdict:

Jaguars O/U 5: Under and I am betting it hard.
2020 Record: 3-13

Jacksonville has a stretch from Week 8 to 15 that might be harder than anyone else in the league as they play five playoff teams.

Key Additions: Vic Beasley, Johnathan Joseph, Dennis Kelly

Key Subtractions: Marcus Mariota, Delanie Walker, Jack Conklin, Jurrell Casey, Wesley Woodyard,

Last years record: 9-7
Strength of Schedule:
.498 (20th)
Vegas Over/Under Win Total:
8.5

I understand that the Titans resigned Tannehill, they locked up Derrick Henry, and they even brought in Vic Beasley, but this team is not as good as they were a year ago.

The losses of Jack Conklin and Jurrell Casey are going to hurt in a BIG time way. Delanie Walker’s presence no longer being in the locker room will not be good, and they did nothing to replace him other than hope Jonnu steps up to the plate this year.

They got on a heck of a tear down the stretch, but Tannehill is NOT A GOOD QUARTERBACK. I will die on this hill. Prove me wrong, and I will eat my words, but they overpaid this man. Without Henry, he is legit nothing, guys.

The Verdict:

Titans O/U 8.5: Under. I am hammering this money line.
2020 Record: 8-8

The only reason I have them at 8-8 is that they have a cupcake schedule. I could see easily being 5-11 or 6-10 if the team struggles early in the season.
