It’s a battle in the NFC East as the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles meet on Monday Night Football. Both teams have struggled this season, and both are chasing the Giants. But who will get the win? I’ll preview the game below, but first some takeaways from the rest of Week 7.

A win in Paris

With the 16-10 victory on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers got the NFL’s first win in Paris. They also improved to 5-2 on the season. Quietly Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers have something cooking in Pittsburgh. It’s a tough division, as the Steelers are tied with the 5-2 Cleveland Browns, just ahead of the 4-2 Cincinnati Bengals and 4-3 Baltimore Ravens. But the Steelers have gotten off to a strong start and look capable of making a run in Rodgers’ final season.

The Giants keep churning

While the Cowboys and Eagles will do battle tonight, it’s the Giants that are in first place. Quietly this team just keeps on going, despite losing Jaxson Dart and other challenges. The Giants are now 4-2-1 and in first place in the NFC East. With the division in turmoil, they could be quietly tracking toward a playoff berth and a big turnaround under John Harbaugh.

Then there was one

With the Miami Dolphins getting a win in New York today against the Jets, there is just one winless team. That’s the Los Angeles Chargers, who seemingly got bad news even on their bye week. The Chargers will face enormous pressure and a tough schedule when they return from bye in Week 8.

And now, on to Monday Night Football.

Dallas Cowboys (2-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)

It’s fair to say the season hasn’t been kind or gone as planned for either of these two teams. But the Cowboys are still a betting favorite to win the NFC East, provided they can get it going on defense and keep it going on offense. Monday’s game should tell us a lot about both teams.

For the Cowboys, the key stars are healthy. Dak Prescott is a QB1, while Javonte Williams is an RB2 with upside. In the passing game, I’m playing both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, as both have been good this season. I’m less bullish on Jake Ferguson, who has been inconsistent. He’s a TE2 for me.

For the Eagles, it’s been a barrage of injuries. Jalen Hurts is out for the season, while DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are out on Monday night. Tanner McKee is in and is a QB2 for me. In the backfield, Saquon Barkley is expected to return. They need him. He’s an RB2 option for me. In the passing game, Dallas Goedert is back. I think he has low-end TE1 upside. Among receivers, Darius Cooper and Makai Lemon are the most attractive options. But I’m not sure I trust either as more than a deep league flex option.

I’m picking the Cowboys.
