Week 8 of the NFL Season kicks off on Thursday in Green Bay. It features two teams coming off a disappointing Week 7. The Panthers faced the Buccaneers and got blown out. The Packers faced the Lions and lost thanks to some self-inflicted wounds. Now, they’re both trying to get back on track Thursday night.
For the Panthers, Bryce Young had been a Top 10 option at quarterback before a dreadful Week 7. I think he bounces back, but he’s a QB2 for me. In the backfield, it’s Chuba Hubbard, who I like as an RB2 option. In the passing game, Tet McMillan is the top option. I like him as a WR2. I also like Jalen Coker as a flex option and Darren Waller as a TE2 with some upside.
For the Packers, Jordan Love has been up-and-down. But I think he’s a QB2 with upside. I wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up Top 12 for the week. In the backfield, Josh Jacobs is back. He was RB8 last week in large part thanks to a passing touchdown. I think he’ll run stronger this week and should be a low-end RB1 option. In the passing game, Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, and Tucker Kraft are all in play. All of them have Top 12 upside, but they all carry risk. I like Watson as a WR2 and Kraft as a low-end TE1, while Golden is a WR3 with upside.
