The NFL Season is nearly upon us. The season kicks off on Wednesday, September 9. Between now and then, we’ll be previewing all 32 NFL Teams along with playoff picks. One team will be previewed each day, beginning with the Super Bowl-winning Seahawks and ending with the New York Jets. Check back each day for the next installment!

The Titans had the No. 1 overall pick in Cam Ward in 2025, but the season was anything but smooth. A dreadful start led to Head Coach Brian Callahan being dismissed during the season. It didn’t help the finish much. But with new leadership and a new lease on life, the Titans are hoping for better in 2026. Let’s dive in.

Off-Season Changes

With Callahan being dismissed mid-year, the Titans were focused on adding the right new staff. Robert Saleh is in as Head Coach and should bring some renewed vigor to the defense. Meanwhile former Giants’ Head Coach Brian Daboll, who helped develop Josh Allen in Buffalo, has been tapped to lead the Titans’ offense. The team also parted with some veterans, including tight end Chig Okonkwo and edge Arden Key.

The focus of the offense has been bringing in new talent. The team made a move to grab Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency. He caught 92 passes for more than 1,000 yards in 2025 and figures to add some pop to the passing game. So, too, should First-Round draft pick Carnell Tate. At Ohio State, Tate caught 121 passes for 1,872 yards and 14 touchdowns in three seasons. Tate and Robinson provide a big boost to the Titans’ passing game.

The Titans also beefed up the defense, adding John Franklin-Myers from the Broncos to beef up the defensive line. The team added veteran Mitch Trubisky as a backup quarterback. In the draft, the Titans snagged Nicholas Singleton to provide them some additional depth and pop in the backfield.

Fantasy Impact

Ward was a low-end QB2 as a rookie in an offense that lacked pop. I think he can be a solid QB2 this year under Daboll. In the backfield, Tony Pollard continues to be the top option. He was a low-end RB2 in 2025, but I like him better as an RB3 this season. I don’t put much faith in Tyjae Spears, but I think Singleton is an interesting deep league dynasty stash.

In the passing game, I like Tate and Robinson to add some pop. I think Tate will be the top option, making it into low-end WR2 territory, while Robinson is a solid WR3. I don’t put a lot of faith in Calvin Ridley, Chimere Dike or Elic Ayomanor for fantasy. Ridley could have some deep league flex appeal if he can stay healthy. Gunnar Helm figures to be the top tight end and I like him as a TE2.

Prediction

The Titans were dreadful in 2025. I think they will be better in 2026, and at a minimum more fun to watch. The question is how much better. I think they could get to nine wins, but it feels more like a team in the seven- or eight-win range.
