The NFL Season is nearly upon us. The season kicks off on Wednesday, September 9. Between now and then, we’ll be previewing all 32 NFL Teams along with playoff picks. One team will be previewed each day, beginning with the Super Bowl-winning Seahawks and ending with the New York Jets. Check back each day for the next installment!

The Rams had a stellar 2025 season. Matthew Stafford fought through back pain to finish as the NFL MVP. The Rams were in contention for the No. 1 seed in the NFC up until the final week, losing out to the Seahawks. But the team battled from a Wild Card slot all the way to the NFC Championship Game, coming up just short against the Seahawks, again. Now, Stafford is back, and the Rams are re-loaded for a run at the title in 2026, when the Super Bowl moves back to Los Angeles. Let’s dive in.

Off-Season Changes

The Rams only had a few players leave, mostly role players. Receiver Tutu Atwell headed to the Dolphins, while tight end Nick Vannett moved over to the Seahawks. The team lost Troy Reeder at linebacker and a host of corners. But they moved swiftly to solve that problem in the Secondary with a trade for Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs. They also traded former First Round selection Jared Verse to the Cleveland Browns for future Hall of Famer Myles Garrett. That might even be enough for the Rams to coax Aaron Donald out of retirement.

In the draft, the big swing was grabbing a player for the future in quarterback Ty Simpson in the First Round. In one season as a starter with Alabama, Simpson threw for 3,567 yards and 28 touchdowns. He’s the future, competing as the backup with Stetson Bennett. But he’s not likely to play a big role in 2026.

Fantasy Impact

Stafford is back and entrenched as the starter. He was QB3 a year ago and should make for a solid QB1 option in 2026. He’s the reigning MVP and should make another similar push on a good team. In the backfield, it’s Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, again. Williams was RB9 a year ago and should be an RB1 again. Corum is more of a handcuff and a deep league flex after his RB40 finish a year ago.

In the passing game, it’s all about Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. They were a lethal duo in 2026, finishing as WR1 and WR9, respectively. They were a major part of the reason Stafford tossed a league-high 46 touchdowns. I suspect both will be great again, though it might not be dual WR1 finishes. I think Nacua is a WR1 and Adams is a WR2 with upside. Tight end is a bit of a crowded mess with rookie Max Klare joining a group that includes second-year man Terrance Ferguson and veterans Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee. I like Klare and Ferguson for the future, but it’s likely Parkinson and Higbee that are better bets in 2026. I wouldn’t want to rely on any of them week-to-week.

Prediction

The Rams should come into the season as a prohibitive favorite. The last time the Super Bowl was in Los Angeles they went and won with Stafford. I could easily see history repeating itself.
