We got MASSIVE news from the biggest streaming platform, Netflix, and its partnership with the National Football League. The NFL schedule will be released soon, but Netflix will get FIVE, yes FIVE, big games this year, including kicking off the season in week one. That wasn’t the only big announcement, as there are several other big things in the works, and we share all the details with you today.

Netflix’s record-setting NFL coverage is expanding in a major way in 2026 and beyond, with additional games, holidays, rivalries, and more starting in Week 1 and continuing through Super Bowl week.
Week 1 of the upcoming NFL season will feature the league’s first-ever regular season game in Australia on Sept. 10 — between divisional rivals the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers — that will air on Netflix live from the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Heading into the holiday season, Netflix will add the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game on Nov. 25 to its plate, featuring the Green Bay Packers visiting the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.
Continuing the Christmas Day tradition, Netflix will again air two games on Dec. 25 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT and 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT. Last year, Netflix’s Christmas Day broadcast of the Detroit Lions versus the Minnesota Vikings was the most-streamed NFL regular season game in US history.
New for this NFL season is a Week 18 game on Netflix at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on Saturday, Jan. 9, the final weekend of the regular season, with playoffs on the line.
Netflix’s NFL games in 2026 will be available in over 200 countries around the world. These games will also be available on local, over-the-air broadcast television in the respective team markets.
In addition to the on-field action this season, Netflix will also stream the NFL Honors globally, showcasing the league’s annual awards presentation the week of the Super Bowl.
Netflix will now be a part of the entire NFL season from September through February at the Super Bowl every year.
Under Netflix and the NFL’s four-year partnership extension through the 2029-2030 season, Netflix will stream a Week 1 game, a Thanksgiving Eve match-up, one Christmas Day game, a Week 18 regular season finale game, and the NFL Honors.
