Week 10 of the NFL Season comes to a close tonight in Los Angeles. The Rams and Dolphins present a great matchup on paper. But neither has had the season they’d hoped for so far. I’ll preview all the game action below, but first let’s look at what else we learned in Week 10.
The Chiefs Remain Unbeaten
The Chiefs are a great team. They are a talented team. They are a team that has fought through adversity all season long. They also might be the luckiest team that ever lived. Believe me, luck is a skill. Thriving in the NFL often involves a steady dose of luck. And when the Chiefs blocked a chip shot field goal that would have handed them a home loss, it was a combination of all the things that make them great, including their luck.
The Steelers are on a Roll
The Pittsburgh Steelers now sit at 7-2. While a lot of people rightly talk about the Baltimore Ravens, it’s the Steelers that have a half game lead in the AFC North. The Steelers having a winning record is nothing new—as the team hasn’t had a losing record under Head Coach Mike Tomlin. But this year’s Steelers look like their aiming for more. They still have six divisional games left in their eight remaining games, but to this point the Steelers look like contenders in the AFC in 2024.
The Bears Need a Change
The Bears were once 4-2 and looked like a young team surging. They’re now 4-5 with a quarterback struggling and an offense that isn’t producing. Sunday, they scored just a meager three points at home against the two-win Patriots. That’s not getting it done. This offense, despite a major investment and a lot of talent, looks completely flat. They need a spark, which might mean a needed change at play caller.
Now, on to the Monday night game.
Miami Dolphins (2-6) at Los Angeles Rams (4-4)
The Dolphins are sitting on just two wins after eight games. They are in last place in the AFC East despite being in the playoffs last year. This team has talent and aspirations, but they haven’t been able to get it done on the field. The Rams, meanwhile, have been up-and-down. But they sit at four wins in the competitive NFC West, chasing the 49ers and the Cardinals.
For fantasy, for the Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa is a QB2 for me. In the backfield, I like De’Von Achane as an RB2 and Raheem Mostert as an RB3/Flex option. In the passing game, Tyreek Hill is a WR2 for me and Jonnu Smith is a TE2. The toughest call is Jaylen Waddle. I like the talent, but he’s just a flex option for me.
For the Rams, Matthew Stafford is a QB2. In the backfield, I like Kyren Williams. He’s an RB1 for me. In the passing game, I like Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp both as WR2s. I think the Rams offense is healthy and coming back together.
I’m taking the Rams to win tonight.
