Week 6 of the NFL season begins with an important clash in the NFC West. The Seahawks are on top, but they’ve lost two straight games. The 49ers, meanwhile, have dealt with a rash of injuries and started just 2-3. Worse yet, the 49ers have lost two straight division games. That puts extra scrutiny on this matchup for both teams.

For the 49ers, Brock Purdy is a QB2. He’s been solid this season with plenty of weapons. While I’m starting George Kittle at tight end, the question has been the receivers. We’ve seen Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and Jauan Jennings all lead the group at times. I like Aiyuk the best here, I think, but have him and Samuel both as lower-end WR2s for now. I like James Mason as a Top 12 option in the backfield in this one.

For the Seahawks, the offense has been pass-heavy the past two weeks. That could be a good thing against the 49ers, too. I like Geno Smith as a QB2 this week. I like D.K. Metcalf the best of the pass-catchers, landing in WR2 range for me. Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett have seemingly traded off performances, but JSN is the one I prefer. I like Ken Walker to bounce back this week after a low-usage rushing week in Week 5.

Now, on to the Week 6 picks.
