We have reached the year’s end, meaning it’s time for those pesky end-of-the-year “best of” lists. Over the next few weeks, I’ll share with you all my favorite movies, performances, and specific movies in certain genres. Below are my top five horror movies of 2022.
Regardless of what you have probably seen on social media, 2022 has been a fruitful year for movies, and honestly, it might be one of my favorites in the past few years. I found myself leaving theaters with excitement more than disappointment which is always huge.

IMDB: Humans adapt to a synthetic environment, with new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice, Saul Tenser, celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances.
2. Fresh (Hulu)
IMDB: FRESH follows Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones), who meets the alluring Steve (Sebastian Stan) at a grocery store and – given her frustration with dating apps – takes a chance and gives him her number.
1. Barbarian (HBO Max)
IMDB: A woman staying at an Airbnb discovers that the house she has rented is not what it seems.
