
“Grounded” was co-created by Enrico Natale and Carl Reid and its’ stars include Enrico Natale, Kaley McCormack, Nick Cardiff, and Victor Salvatore, all of whom sat down and spoke with me regarding the unconventional, pandemic-inspired approach to a super-hero comedy. They gave insights on the struggles and successes with the production and performances, and they seem to care for one another as much as the show they made:
The show can be seen, with behind the scenes footage, on Tubi now- and I would encourage readers to watch it. After the first couple of episodes, it’s a surprisingly thoughtful eight episodes that reflect on the struggles of a super-human being forced into human struggles. The therapist identity for the lead invites characters to resolve personal problems without relying on superhuman abilities, paying of (without spoilers) most effectively in a non-traditional finale where a hero faces his arch nemesis. It’s an easy, fun watch.
