The first few weeks of the season, we’ve had some banger matchups on Thursday night. But in Week 3, that’s not the case. While this could end up being a great matchup, the Falcons and the Packers have been underwhelming so far. Let’s dive in.

For the Falcons, it’s been a rough start on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the team has been struggling as Michael Penix, Jr., and Tua Tagovailoa were on the injured list. Both are seemingly healthy now, and Penix will start. Will that mean big things for receiver Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts? It can’t get much worse, but I’m still being cautious. I have Penix as a low-end QB2 until we see him get going. London is a WR3 with some upside, and Pitts is a TE2 for me. I do like Bijan Robinson, who should eat tonight. He’s the Falcon you want to start.

For the Packers, it’s been an uneven two games. The Packers blew a Week 1 lead and lost to the Vikings. In Week 2, they managed to salvage a near loss and turn it into a narrow road win over the Jets. They will be looking for another win on Thursday night. But they’ll be doing it with an uncertain backfield and no Jayden Reed, who has been ruled out for the game.

At quarterback for the Packers, it’s Jordan Love, who is a QB2 for me. In the backfield, it’s MarShawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks, and Kaleb Johnson in a committee. I’m staying away from all of them for the time being. In the passing game, Tucker Kraft is still getting back healthy but just got a big extension. I like him to get going in this game. I also like Christian Watson as a WR2. He’s been Love’s favorite Red Zone target.
