Scream returns to our screens for the first time in 11 years next week and has an impressive ensemble. With memorable performances from the likes of Matthew Lillard, Hayden Panettiere and Liev Schreiber over the years, it’s easy to forget the smaller moments, including these celeb appearances:
Joshua Jackson

Appeared in: Scream 2 (1997)
Just a year before reaching heartthrob status through Pacey Witter, this Dawson’s Creek alum had a minor role in Scream 2 as Film Class Guy #1 with an affinity for Aliens during a debate about sequels.
Timothy Olyphant

Appeared in: Scream 2 (1997)
Perhaps best known for playing U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens in Justified, Olyphant flipped his switch to channel Mickey – revealed to be one half of Ghostface.
Luke Wilson

Appeared in: Scream 2 (1997)
Incorporating its own film series to further poke fun at the horror genre, Luke Wilson has a cameo as Billy Loomis’ actor in ‘Stab’ based on the Woodsboro murders.
Heather Graham

Appeared in: Scream 2 (1997)
Like Luke Wilson, Graham is another actor in the ‘Stab’ movie, opening it up as Casey Becker.
Patrick Warburton

Appeared in: Scream 3 (2000)
It’s hard to forget Patrick Warburton in anything given his distinct voice but he has very little screen time in the third instalment as bodyguard Steve Stone before he’s killed off.
Lance Henriksen

Appeared in: Scream 3 (2000)
Veteran actor, Lance Henriksen, serves as a secondary antagonist of sorts, John Milton, in Scream 3 and the producer of the ‘Stab’ series. His character ends up sharing a deeper connection to Sidney and Roman (Scott Foley) but is killed in the climax.
Jenny McCarthy

Appeared in: Scream 3 (2000)
There’s a bunch of famous faces in the third chapter, however, McCarthy’s is maybe the least memorable as spoiled, over-the-top actress, Sarah Darling.
Patrick Dempsey

Appeared in: Scream 3 (2000)
Narrowly escaping Ghostface’s clutches, Patrick Dempsey is the detective looking into the murders, later prompting Gale into travelling to Los Angeles.
Kelly Rutherford

Appeared in: Scream 3 (2000)
Prior to indulging in Upper East Side drama, Rutherford had a brief appearance as Cotton Weary’s (Liev Schreiber) ill-fated girlfriend, Christine.
Jay Mewes and Kevin Smith

Appeared in: Scream 3 (2000)
Smith and Mewes are actually dressed as their Jay and Silent Bob characters when they mistake Gale (Courtney Cox) for Connie Chung on a studio tour.
Anna Paquin

Appeared in: Scream 4 (2011)
True Blood star, Anna Paquin, made a cameo as a character in yet another ‘Stab’ sequel, meeting her demise at the hand of her pal, played by Kristen Bell.
Kristen Bell

Appeared in: Scream 4 (2011)
Fed up of Paquin’s character, Rachel, yakking on and complaining about horror sequels, Bell’s Chloe puts an end to her rambling before we realise this is just a part of the ‘Stab’ universe.
Adam Brody

Appeared in: Scream 4 (2011)
Horror doesn’t usually bode well for police officers, unless it’s Dewey (David Arquette), so when Brody’s Officer Ross Hoss is made a clear parody, the odds don’t look great for him.
Anthony Anderson

Appeared in: Scream 4 (2011)
Tagging along as Brody’s partner, Anderson plays the equally doomed Officer Anthony Perkins – get it? The pair are brutally murdered outside of Jill’s (Emma Roberts) house, but not before Anderson gives us one last laugh with “f—k Bruce Willis.”
