After a familiar beat and some enticement to jump back into this world, we are thrust back into the Spider-verse! It feels like the animators have taken care to age Miles Morales and the aesthetic of where he’s taken by Spider-Man 2099 feels distinct and different, but it’s a reminder of what worked and a tease that does it’s job:
The movie has been confirmed as a part one of two! Co-directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, written by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Dave Callaham, and produced by Avi Arad, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, and Christina Steinberg, Sony will release this in theaters October 7th, 2022.
