Walker is losing one of its leading stars after CW veteran, Lindsey Morgan, announced she will be stepping down from her role as Micki Ramirez. The news comes just a day after the show returned for its second season.
In a statement to Deadline, Morgan said, “After much thoughtful consideration and introspection, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from my role as Micki Ramirez on Walker for personal reasons, and I am eternally grateful to have the support of the producers, CBS Studios and The CW in allowing me to do so.”
“The opportunity to play Micki has truly been a blessing as has working alongside the incredible cast and crew of this terrific series. Please know that I will continue to root for my TV family and wish them all the best.” She continued.
It is currently unknown when Morgan’s last episode will air but the network hasn’t ruled out guest spots in the future, leaving the door open for her possible return.
Micki was an immediate fan-favourite from day one with Morgan bringing passion and charisma into the role. Her portrayal has been nothing short of genuine and the chemistry shared with co-star, Jared Padalecki, is off the charts. Morgan has given us one powerhouse performance we’ll never forget.
