Week 4 of the NFL Season ends tonight in New Orleans. The Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints meet in what should be a meaningful game in the NFC South. It could also be a fun game for fantasy. I’ll preview the game below, but first some takeaways from the rest of Week 4.

The Chargers and Texans are cooked

The teams were both in the playoffs in 2025, and both were projected to be in the playoffs again this season. Instead, both have started 0-4. Is it possible they still reach the post-season? It’s possible, but it seems unlikely. The schedule doesn’t get significantly easier for either team, and they now have no margin for error.

The Chiefs are back

After a season where they couldn’t buy a win, the Chiefs look like a team that can’t be stopped. Kenneth Walker has breathed new life into the running game, while Patrick Mahomes is back and looking better than ever. The Chiefs have raced out to a 4-0 start and look like a powerhouse in the AFC once again.

The Patriots make a statement

We can’t write off the reigning AFC Champions just yet. The Patriots looked cooked as Drake Maye struggled with turnovers and the team fell to 1-2 with a trip to the undefeated Bills on Sunday. But the Patriots rallied in that game, coming from behind late to get the 29-26 win. It moves them to 2-2 and keeps them hot on the Bills’ heels as we head into October.

Now, on to Monday Night Football.

Atlanta Falcons (1-2) at New Orleans Saints (1-2)

This is an interesting matchup. The Falcons looked dead for two games, but the return of Michael Penix, Jr., sparked life last Thursday. The team scored 35 points in a rout of the Packers. The Saints, meanwhile, have been putting up points and playing tough. But that hasn’t always resulted in wins. The Saints are just 1-2 and looking to get back to .500 with a win at home.

For the Falcons, I like Bijan Robinson as an RB1. He’s been simply incredible. I also like Drake London quite a bit. The return of Penix really picked things up. He has Top 12 upside Monday night. I like Penix as a QB2 as well. I’m still not bullish on Kyle Pitts, who hasn’t been able to get it going. He’s a TE2 with some potential upside.

For the Saints, Travis Etienne, Jr., is on IR. That means it’s likely Alvin Kamara leading the backfield. He’s a flex option for me. I like Tyler Shough as a QB2 in this one. In the passing game, I like Chris Olave as a WR1. He’s been on fire. I also like Devaughn Vele as a flex option and Juwan Johnson as a high-end TE2 with upside.

I’m taking the Saints tonight.
