This is noted on YouTube as the official “Be Alive” trailer (after the song used) for the story of Venus and Serena Williams… or maybe the story of their father? I have mixed feelings because these performances already feel powerful but I’m curious how they’ll manage to balance the victory of “King” Richard and those of his daughters. It seems heartwarming to think of a “family” victory but this seems to shift to be more of a vehicle for Will Smith than to celebrate Serena and Venus’ accomplishments. It’s too early to judge, however, as this is just a trailer:
Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green with a screenplay is written by Zach Baylinand being produced by Will Smith, Tim White, Trevor White, and James Lassiter, Warner Bros will release this in theaters and streaming on HBO Max starting on November 19th, 2021.
