DC laid out an update for fans for many of their most anticipated productions, and with “The Batman,” the many Batmen within “The Flash,” and a few other exciting notes and projects, it seemed worth allowing exploring this pocket of the DCEU on its’ own:
The Batman- Trailer 2
To start, we get a wider look at the aesthetic of this Gotham City, a bit of insight into the relationship dynamic between Zoe Kravitz’ Catwoman and Pattinsons Bruce Wayne, out first look at Alfred, a bit more from our “villains,” and… mysteriously none of Joh Turturro…? Take a look:
We also got a look behind the scenes:
“The Batman” is directed by Matt Reeves, written by Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin, and produced by Dylan Clark and Matt Reeves. Warner Bros will release this in theaters everywhere starting on March 4th, 2022.
The Flash
I’m including ‘The Flash” here because despite the teases of “Flashpoint Paradox,” Keaton’s narration highlights a glimpse of a fallen Batfleck and the return of an icon and his particular iconography:
“The Flash” is directed by Andrés Muschietti, written by Christina Hodson, and produced by Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti. Warner Bros will release the movie in theaters exclusively starting on November 4th, 2022.
Gotham Knights
Finally, and a bit out of the norm for this writer, we got a look into the Bat-Family functioning without Batman or Commissioner Gordon in an exciting sample of tone, story and gameplay:
“Gotham Knights” is being produced by WB Games and will be released sometime in 2022!
