Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Best Movies

With a new release on the horizon, what better way to celebrate Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s upcoming film than sharing my favorite movies of his. Johnson is the best action star of the last twenty years, and he has added so many layers, including comedy of the years that has solidified himself as a massive star.

Honorable mentions: Jumanji (both of them), Central Intelligence, Moana and Be Cool

The Game Plan

Every action star has this type of film in their filmography, from Arnold in Kindergarten Cop to Vin Diesel in Pacifier, these guys branch out to these kid-like films, and they crush it. I am a big fan of this charming movie that brings to life the relationship between Father and Daughter.

Fast Five

Look, I am the biggest Fast and the Furious fan on the planet, but it brought these films to another level when The Rock entered the scene. I hope the little battle between Dwayne and Vin comes to an end because I would love to see them on the big screen go toe to toe one last time. Fast Five is the 2nd Best film in this franchise, and it’s mostly because of the appearance of The Rock.

Pain & Gain

One of the most underrated comedies of all-time. Pain & Gain does not get enough credit for how it is one of the better written and acted comedies we have scene. Dwayne Johnson, Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Mackie do an amazing job of bringing these characters to life.

Baywatch

Another UNDERRATED COMEDY, but this one more people hate than Pain & Gain. I thought this was great, and I hate that so many people didn’t like this movie. Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, and Jon Bass all take the Baywatch we all know and take it to the next level with some comedy gold.

The Other Guys

I am not sure two guys had a more significant impact in a shorter time on screen than the Rock and Samuel L Jackson. If you blink your eyes, they are gone, but in their brief time, they are AMAZING. I still want a movie based on these two characters.
