What if I told you that there was a real estate show that is located in the Hamptons?
For those of you that are fanatics of high-end real estate shows like Million Dollar Listing and Selling Sunset, you will be surprised to hear that the Hamptons real estate market is finally receiving the publicity it deserves.
Usually, these real estate shows would either show realtors in Los Angeles or New York City. There has only been one season of Million Dollar Listing Miami and one season of Million Dollar Listing San Francisco but because of various reasons, the high-end San Francisco and Miami real estate market hasn’t been receiving much publicity.
Interestingly, the Hamptons real estate market is quite different from the LA and New York real estate market. Instead of having year-round dealmaking and traffic, the Hamptons real estate market is only active in the summer, and anytime outside of summer is quiet. That’s why many of the real estate agents are in a huge rush to sell homes fast.
For those of you that are fans of The Great Gatsby, know that the homes you find won’t be as big and fancy as the mansions that characters like Tom Buchanan and Jay Gatsby would live in. These homes aren’t castles but at least they have access to the waterfront, have a tennis court, a bowling alley, and an equestrian field.
Before you do watch the series, know that the series has been criticized for potential racism.
From my experience watching the series, I found the series to fly by a lot faster than other real estate shows. That can be attributed to the shorter episode lengths and having less fewer episodes for a season.
Comparing it to Million Dollar Listing and Selling Sunset, I find the series to be inferior compared to the other tv shows mainly because the episodes are shorter and the drama in the Hamptons isn’t as spicy as the drama in Los Angeles or Manhattan.
However, I do recommend watching the show because you get to learn more about the Hamptons real estate market, and at the same time, you’ll learn to love the characters and learn the beauty that the Hamptons gives us. Who knows, maybe this show will inspire you to move into the Hamptons as well.
