What to Watch This Weekend

Between VOD, Redbox, Netflix and the rest of the streaming platforms, a lot of content has been released this week. So I went through and found some of the best options you can watch this weekend.

Redbox

Deep Blue Sea 3

Dr. Emma Collins and her team are spending their third summer on the island of Little Happy studying the effect of climate change on the great white sharks who come to the nearby nursery every year to give birth. Along with the last two inhabitants of this former fishing village, their peaceful life is disrupted when a “scientific” team led by her ex-boyfriend and marine biologist Richard show up looking for three bull sharks who we soon learn aren’t just any bull sharks.

You Should Have Left

A former banker, his actress wife, and their spirited daughter book a vacation at an isolated modern home in the Welsh countryside where nothing is quite as it seems.

Grand Isle

A young father is charged with murder and must prove his innocence by recalling a very twisted and dark night of events.

Netflix

The Umbrella Academy (Season 2) (July 31st)

A family of former child heroes, now grown apart, must reunite to continue to protect the world.

Super Monsters: The New Class (August 1st)

Preschool kids whose parents are the world’s most famous monsters try to master their special powers while preparing for kindergarten.

VOD

Rebuilding Paradise

The community of Paradise, California, a town in the Sierra Nevada foothills, attempts to rebuild after devastating wildfires in 2018.
