Week 3 of the NFL presents a full slate. With games on Thursday and Monday, that leaves 14 matchups on Sunday, including some of juiciest of the week. Below is the five games on the Sunday slate I’m most hyped to see.

Early Games:

Los Angeles Chargers (0-2) at Buffalo Bills (2-0)
About: The Chargers started the season in a tough spot, losing home games to the Cardinals and Raiders. The Bills, meanwhile, have started out on fire, including some big performances from Josh Allen. Allen will look to keep it going Sunday, while the Chargers are just looking to get it going. This is a matchup that has some big AFC implications.

Houston Texans (0-2) at Indianapolis Colts (0-2)
About: The Texans and Colts both have playoff aspirations. And yet, both have started in an 0-2 hole. That puts even more pressure on this week’s battle in Indianapolis. It’s early in the season, but 0-3 would start to begin to seem like an insurmountable hole if a team is looking to make the playoffs.

New England Patriots (1-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)
About: This is a battle of AFC contenders from a year ago. The Patriots have had an uneven two weeks, but the defense held strong for a win over the Steelers. The Jaguars beat up the Browns at home but lost an early lead in Denver. Both teams are looking for a win to get back on track.

Late Games:

Baltimore Ravens (1-1) at Dallas Cowboys (1-1)
About: The Ravens were hot Week 1 and cooled in a surprising home loss to the Saints in Week 2. The Cowboys opened with a dud in Week 1 but rebounded to stick it to a beat up Commanders’ team in Week 2. Now, both travel to Brazil for Week 3. I expect some fun fireworks and as these teams both try to get a big Week 3 win.

Sunday Night Football

Los Angeles Rams (1-1) at Denver Broncos (1-1)
About: The Rams and Broncos both opened the season with Week 1 duds. Both rebounded with big home wins in Week 2. Now, they meet on Sunday Night Football—the third Primetime game in as many weeks for the Rams. This is a battle of teams that have bigger goals in 2026 and only one can get to 2-1.
