This week we get The Dog Stars, the latest from Ridley Scott. Among a strong cast is Jacob Elordi in a lead role. He’s exploded the past few years, so this week’s Binge looks at some of his previous roles. Projects appear in chronological order.
The Kissing Booth (2018)
About: If you haven’t seen this, you probably weren’t a teen in 2018. And yet, these have come incredibly popular for Netflix, spawning three films where Elordi is a lead.
Euphoria (2019-2026)
About: This is a small screen series, yes, but it has a cinematic quality. It also helped launch a generation of young stars, including Elordi.
Saltburn (2023)
About: Here, Elordi has a key role in Emerald Fennell’s follow up to Promising Young Woman. The film wasn’t a hit with everyone, but he did a good job. That probably helped him land the lead in this year’s Wuthering Heights re-make.
Priscilla (2023)
About: A big year continued as Elordi played Elvis in this biopic from Sophia Coppola. This was more focused on Elvis’s love, Priscilla, but Elordi still played a key role.
Frankenstein (2025)
About: This was a role that earned Elordi an Academy Award nomination as Frankenstein’s monster. He was arguably the best actor in what was a compelling film that was among the most nominated at the Academy Awards.
