Chariots of Fire (1981)
About:
This film is about a pair of track runners for Britain. They qualified for the Olympics, but the race was set on a Sunday, something that didn’t work for Christian Eric Liddle, who was devout in his faith. This is his story, and it is a classic film, which won Best Picture and has an iconic soundtrack.

Amazing Grace (2006)
About
: This one shares the name of a famous hymn. And while the writer of that hymn is featured in the film, it’s really a biopic about William Wilberforce. His great faith and conscience led him to fight for the abolition of slavery in England, a feat finally achieved after many, many years of fighting.

Soul Surfer (2011)
About
: This film features AnnaSophia Robb as Bethany Hamilton. She was a gifted and talented surfer, and a woman of faith, who lost her arm to a shark. The film is about the incident, the aftermath, and how she leaned on her faith to move forward.

A Hidden Life (2019)
About
: This film comes from director Terrence Malick and is focused on a simple farmer. The Austrian Franz Jägerstätter, a conscientious objector, refuses to fight for the Nazis in World War II. It feels like a timely and moving tale for the times.

Jesus Revolution (2023)
About
: This is a biopic about a spiritual awakening in California in the 1970s and the birth of a new denomination. The cast includes Kelsey Grammar, Jonathan Roumie, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, among others. It ended up being a solid and compelling film.
