This week Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere launches in theaters. It features Jeremy Allen White as The Boss. White is best known from his small screen work on Shameless and The Bear. But he’s also been in films. This week’s binge looks at four previous film roles. Films appear in chronological order.

The Rental (2020)
About
: This is a horror film co-written and directed by Dave Franco. White is part of a quartet of leads, including Dan Stevens and Alison Brie. It’s an OK horror film.

Fremont (2023)
About:
This is a little, independent, black-and-white production. White plays a smaller supporting role, but I thought he was good here. I thought this film was charming.

Fingernails (2023)
About
: This is an unconventional, futuristic love story. Jesse Buckley and Riz Ahmed are the stars, with White playing more of a supporting part as the third wheel. It’s not glamourous, but he does a decent job.

The Iron Claw (2023)
About:
This was the biopic on a quartet of wrestling brothers. Zac Efron is the lead here, but White plays a crucial role as one of the brothers. He’s great in this part and a catalyst for a lot of what happens to the family.
