Week 4 of the NFL Season begins with a great divisional rivalry game on Thursday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys will head to New York to battle the Giants. Both teams come in 1-2, but both have had radically different paths. And both will be looking to get a big divisional win on Thursday night.
The Cowboys got a big win in Cleveland in Week 1 but have seen their defense fall apart during a two-game slide at home. The Giants, meanwhile, had a rough start to the season, going 0-2 to start. But they got a huge win on the road in Cleveland in Week 3 and will be looking to make it two straight on Thursday night.
For the Cowboys, I’m starting Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Jake Ferguson. All three are big factors in the passing game, and the Giants’ defense has struggled. I suspect Lamb will be motivated to have an even bigger day in Week 4 against a defense that gave up two touchdowns to Amari Cooper in Week 3. Ferguson had 11 targets in Week 3 and figures to be a big factor as well. I’m staying away from the rest, but if you’re desperate Rico Dowdle is the best backfield option and worth a deep league flex consideration.
The Giants have developed a solid group of performers. Malik Nabers has been great at receiver, with Wan’Dale Robinson being a steady contributor in the passing game. Devin Singletary, meanwhile, has dominated backfield touches and done well. The Cowboys’ defense has struggled of late, making all three good plays Thursday. I also like Daniel Jones as a low-end QB2 option.
