The 2023 Academy Award nominations are a week away. Over the last few weeks, we’ve had the Golden Globes, SAG Nominations, and the Critics Choice Awards and have shifted many things across the board. Today, I share my final 2024 Oscars Predictions for the Best Actor category.

Best Actor Nominations

1. Cillian Murphy, Oppenheimer (^) (2)
2. Paul Giamatti, The Holdovers (^) (NR)
3. Bradley Cooper, Maestro (↓) (1)
4. Jeffrey Wright, American Fiction (↓) (3)
5. Colman Domingo, Rustin (↓) (4)

Outside look in: Leonardo DiCaprio (Killers of the Flower Moon) and Zac Efron (The Iron Claw)

Update: Since my last update, there has been quite a few moves within the race that altered my final rankings. Of course Bradley Cooper continues to collect nominations, but fails to delivery any wins. While Paul Giamatti moved from outside to 2nd after his Critics Choice win. The Holdovers as a whole has picked up a lot of steam, and this win not only solidified his position within the five, but it looks like a Giamatti vs. Murphy showdown to take home the Best Actor Oscar.
