This week The Marvels drops in theaters. It’s the 11th feature films since Avengers: Endgame. For this week’s Binge Watch, I’m offering my ranking of the 10 films we’ve seen since Endgame. Films appear in ascending order.

No. 10: The Eternals (2021)
About:
I didn’t dislike this film; in fact, I was surprised it ended up here. I like the visuals and some of the moments in this film but it’s not as strong for me as the others that have been released since Endgame.

No. 9: Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
About:
Another one that wasn’t bad but just didn’t quite resonate. I like Benedict Cumberbatch in the role and there were some interesting visuals, but it doesn’t all come together as hoped.

No. 8: Black Widow (2021)
About
: I still think this would have been better released prior to Endgame. It feels weird to see something of a prequel, especially with what happened to Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) in Endgame. But I like the action and some of the comedy here.

No. 7: Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania (2023)
About:
This was the first of the MCU films released this year and it has some good moments. I like Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, but it’s become a bit harder to have a film that’s all centered around Kang as played by Jonathan Majors. It’s solid but unspectacular.

No. 6: Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
About:
Released last summer, I thought this movie was fun. I enjoy the style Taika Waititi has brought to the franchise. Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman were great here, too. It’s a fun film.

No. 5: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
About:
This is one of the more surprising films released since Endgame. I didn’t know much about it going in, but I had a great time. This film is fun, with good action and a creative climatic sequence.

No. 4: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
About
: The best of the films released last year; this one had a tall order in moving on from Chadwick Boseman. It’s a beautiful and emotional film. I enjoyed the action and the way that the film all comes together. It was one of my favorites from last year.

No. 3: Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 (2023)
About
: Released to kick-start the summer, this felt very much like the concluding chapter for my favorite group of heroes. I love the heart and the way this film comes together. It’s one of my favorites from this year.

No. 2: Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
About
: Released in the immediate aftermath of Endgame, this was the perfect film to reset the world. Tom Holland is a delight in this role, and I enjoyed his back-and-forth with Jake Gyllenhaal. It also ends on a heck of a cliffhanger.

No. 1: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
About
: The third of Holland’s Spider-Man films, this isn’t only the best of the MCU since Endgame it’s one of the best, period. The way it brought back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield was incredible. This is a fantastic and at times heart-breaking film.
