2022 NFL Season Award and Playoff Predictions

The 2022 NFL Season is nearly upon us. As part of the run up to the season, we’re preview all the teams, culminating with our picks for who makes the playoffs and who wins the awards this season. Check back each day through September 5. Let’s get ready for some football!

The 2022 NFL Season is upon us. Literally a week from today we’ll be enjoy our first Sunday of the new season. Before that happens, out team offers up some fearless predictions for who will win the big awards and who will win the whole thing!

MVP: Josh Allen—It’s his year.

Offensive Player of the Year: Justin Herbert—I think the Chargers take a step forward.

Defensive Player of the Year: Von Miller—a renaissance for a huge signing

Coach of the Year: Dan Campbell—The Lions might not make the playoffs, but I love what Campbell is doing.

Comeback Player of the Year: J.K. Dobbins—He’ll be a force for the Ravens.

MVP: Tom Brady—Not the MVP necessarily, but a lifetime achievement kind of deal they do sometimes.

Offensive Player of the Year: Justin Herbert—probably shoulda won MVP, but still gets hardware. Wins the toughest division in football.

Defensive Player of the Year: Nick Bosa—the Niners sport the No. 1 ranked D in the league and Bosa is the reason. 18+ sacks.

Coach of the Year: Mike Tomlin—Getting this version of the Steelers into the playoffs deserves the lifetime achievement award Brady got.

Comeback Player of the Year: Travis Etienne—He redshirted his freshman season, but explodes as a 3 down option for a surprisingly fun to watch Jags team. Leads the league in total yards with 10-plus total TDs.
