Los Angeles, CA — August 23, 2022 — Scener, in collaboration with Netflix, will host the official world-wide watch party of The Sandman Season 1 Episode 6 on Wednesday, August 24 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM GMT. Fans will be joined by the show’s cast and creators, including Co-Creator and Executive Producer Neil Gaiman, Showrunner Allan Heinberg and stars Tom Sturridge, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Ferdinand Kingsley. Mark Hamill, voice of Mervyn Pumpkinhead and known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy, will host the event.
Signing up for The Sandman Watch Party is free and automatically grants you access to a virtual theater, custom-built and hosted by Scener, that hosts thousands of fans. Guests can join the watch party by downloading Scener’s Google Chrome extension for desktop or laptop viewing. Guests in the United States can also join from their mobile devices using Scener’s new app, which automatically syncs with their TV to watch on the big(ger) screen. After entering the theater’s virtual doors, guests will be immersed into a live video Q&A with The Sandman’s stars, host Mark Hamill and fans joining live from across the globe. On August 24, get the behind-the-scenes scoop while getting up close and personal with the team that brings The Dreaming to life.
An interactive screening will follow the live Q&A where guests can stream the episode together while using Scener’s social features, like video chat and social messaging, to continue the conversation together and in real-time over synchronized playback.
