Welcome everyone, it’s time to go B-A-N-N-N-N-A-N-A-S as I am reviewing Minions & Monsters, the third entry in the Minions prequel line and the seventh movie overall in the Despicable Me universe. This one’s set in 1920s Hollywood, decades before Gru even shows up, and it follows the Minions trying to break into the movie business by making their own monster picture. Is it worth checking out on the big screen? I share my thoughts below.
What is Minions & Monsters About?
This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.
MINIONS & MONSTERS Review — Surprisingly Smart Hollywood Satire
Overall Thoughts: “I had a great time. Solid script, genuine laughs for both kids and adults, and a surprisingly clever undercurrent about Hollywood itself. If you’re a fan of the franchise, I’d recommend checking it out — it’s a fun watch and one of the more well-rounded entries the series has had in a while.”
Minions & Monsters is in theaters now.
