Fridays:
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour—End of an Era, Streaming Fridays on Disney+ (Premiered December 12)
About: This new, six-part docuseries takes you behind the scenes on the biggest tour in the world. The Eras Tour was a massive undertaking that traveled the globe. This new docuseries follows Taylor Swift and those who helped make it happen. You get a rare glimpse at planning a preparation, including interviews with Taylor and those involved. The episodes run about 45 minutes, making it a short commitment. The first two dropped Friday, with two episodes a week dropping each Friday for the rest of December. For fans of a good docuseries, or Taylor Swift fans, this will be appointment viewing. I thought it was really compelling.

Man vs. Baby, Now Streaming on Netflix (Premiered December 11)
About: Rowan Atkinson has been entertaining audiences with the same bumbling comedy style for decades. His latest, the Netflix limited series Man vs Baby, is no different. A few years ago, he did battle with a Bee. Now, he’s doing some battle with a Baby in a four-part series. Each episode is 25-30 minutes, making for a quick binge. It focuses on a man, Trevor Bingley (Atkinson), who is going through a rough stretch. He’s struggling for money and wants to provide for his daughter to go to university. At Christmas, he gets the bad news that his ex-wife and daughter are ditching him for Christmas. But he gets a chance to make a quick $10,000 for housesitting for a penthouse in London. The catch is, on his last day at work, a baby is left behind. And he’s forced to take the baby along with him until the authorities can arrive to claim it. And hilarity ensues. It’s a fun set up and challenge. Atkinson is such a physical performer that he easily sinks into the role. If you’ve enjoyed his comedy stylings in the past, you’ll get a kick out of this one, too. This is worth a quick binge if you’re looking for something light to end the year.

Little Disasters, Now Streaming on Paramount+ (Premiered December 11)
About: This new series was made in partnership with the United Kingdom, where it aired earlier in the year. It’s a six-part mini-series based on the book from Sarah Vaughan. It centers on a mother, Jess (Diane Kruger), who brings her daughter to the ER. There, she receives treatment from Liz (Jo Joyner), a member of her mom friend group. But when her daughter’s injuries are more severe and inconsistent with what Jess shares, it forces Liz to make a difficult decision to get child services involved. That kicks off a large investigation where relationships and friendships are tested as they try to get to the truth. The series is just six episodes, all now available to stream. Episodes are all 50 minutes or less, making it a short commitment. Kruger is solid in the lead role, and I enjoyed Joyner, too. The whole cast is solid, with a mix of present-day investigation, straight-to-camera interviews, and flashbacks helping tell the wider story. The first two episodes were engaging, so those who like a good limited series will likely be drawn to see how this one ends.
