Week 10 of the NFL Season comes to a close with a big battle in the NFC. The Philadelphia Eagles, fresh off a bye and loaded up on defense, will travel to battle the Green Bay Packers. I’ll have a full preview of the game below. But first, let’s consider three things we learned from the rest of Week 10.

The top of the AFC keeps rolling

It wasn’t always pretty, but the Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and Denver Broncos entered Week 10 tied for the best record in the NFL. They will leave it the same way, with each team sitting at 8-2 atop its division. The Colts have a sizeable lead now on the Jaguars, while the Patriots have opened a game and a half lead on the Bills and the Broncos have a lead on the Chargers and Chiefs, who they’ll face next week. As we pass the mid-point in the season, these young teams continue to soar.

The NFC West is shaping up to be a dogfight

The Seattle Seahawks have quietly been one of the best teams in the NFL. They moved to 7-2 on the season with a huge win over the Arizona Cardinals. But don’t sleep on the Los Angeles Rams, who upended the 49ers in San Francisco to move to 7-2 as well. These two teams still have two games against each other on the schedule, and that will likely help determine the division and a high seed in the NFC.

The Washington Commanders’ slipper is shattered

The Commanders were the Cinderella of the league in 2024. They went from a lottery team to the NFC Championship. This year hasn’t been as smooth. Between injuries and inefficiencies, the team has stumbled. The Commanders dropped to 3-7 with a loss to the Lions on Sunday, dropping them well out of the playoff picture. Looks like there won’t be a repeat in 2025.

Now, on to the Monday night game.

Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) at Green Bay Packers (5-2-1)

The Eagles and the Packers had two epic clashes in 2024, both won by the Eagles. One came in the regular season opener, the other in the playoffs. In the off-season, the Packers tried and failed to have the Tush Push banned. That should add an extra wrinkle to this battle.

For the Eagles, I like Jalen Hurts as a low-end QB1. I like Saquon Barkley as an RB2 with upside. And I like Dallas Goedert as a low-end TE1. The receivers have been hit-or-miss, but I have a feeling it could be a good night for A.J. Brown. I like him and DeVonta Smith as a boom-or-bust WR2.

For the Packers, Jordan Love has been steady if unspectacular. He’s a QB2. In the backfield, Josh Jacobs is the engine that drives the Packers. It’s not a great matchup. He’s an RB2 with some upside. In the passing game, the loss of Tucker Kraft looms large. Luke Musgrave is a TE2. I like Romeo Doubs as a low-end WR2, and Christian Watson as a WR3.

I’m picking the Eagles to win again.
