Week 10 of the NFL Season kicks off in Denver. The Broncos enter the game 7-2, in first place in the AFC West and tied for the best record in football. They also come in on a six-game winning streak. The Raiders, meanwhile, come in at just 2-6, and were sellers at the trade deadline. There are still questions about this offense and defense, and now they travel on a short week.
The Broncos’ defense has been great, and even held the Texans in check in Week 9 without Pat Surtain II. Surtain and receiver Marvin Mims, Jr., are out again. Meanwhile, the Raiders traded Jakobi Myers to the Jaguars. That leaves plenty of questions at receiver for an offense struggling to find itself.
For the Raiders, Geno Smith has some upside, but he’s a low-end QB2. Really, I like him more as a QB3 in this matchup. Ashton Jeanty is a talented rookie but he hasn’t found much running room. I don’t see that changing. He’s a flex option at best. In the passing game, I still like Brock Bowers. He’s a TE1 still. There isn’t anyone else I’d really trust on Thursday in Denver. Tre Tucker could be a desperation flex option.
For the Broncos, Bo Nix is a QB2 with upside. He could finish Top 12, but it’s tough to rely on Thursday night players. I like J.K. Dobbins as an RB2 and R.J. Harvey as a flex option. In the passing game, Courtland Sutton is a WR2, and I like Troy Franklin as a flex option. Evan Engram is a boom or bust TE2.
