We’ve reached Week 7 of the NFL Season and we’re kicking things off with another divisional battle. This time, we swing over to the AFC North. The Cincinnati Bengals started off 2-0 and haven’t won since. The Steelers, meanwhile, have quietly built a three and a half game lead in the division.

This game is also special due to the quarterback matchup. Joe Flacco is starting for the Bengals and Aaron Rodgers is going for the Steelers. Both are over 40, making this a rare matchup of older passers. It will be interesting to see how these teams stack up.

For the Bengals, Flacco is a low-end QB2 for me. He has great weapons but a weak line. That’s a concern. In the backfield, Chase Brown was a bit better in Week 6. He’s a flex option for me. I still like Ja’Marr Chase as a WR2 with upside and Tee Higgins as a WR3 with upside. The Steelers defense has been better, but they’re hardly a lock. Mike Gesicki is out for a bit, so that could lead to an uptick for Noah Fant or Tanner Hudson. Either way, they are low-end TE2 options.

For the Steelers, Rodgers has been a solid QB2. He’s worth a Superflex start. In the backfield, Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell both have a role. Warren is a low-end RB2, and Gainwell is a deep league flex option. In the passing game, D.K. Metcalf is a WR2 with upside. The rest of the passing game has been interesting. Calvin Austin isn’t practicing and isn’t likely to play. The Steelers have been using a lot of tight ends—including Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith, and Darnell Washington. All could have value; none are great locks. I’d favor Smith, but all of them present risk.

Now, on to the Week 7 picks.
