Week 1 of the NFL Season featured some wild finishes. Week 2 gets off to a solid start as the Commanders and Packers—two playoff teams from 2024—clash in the first game on Prime Video. But which team will start off 2-0? Let’s dive in.

The Commanders are re-making their backfield. In Week 1, Austin Ekeler and Bill Croskey-Merritt looked like a good team. Croskey-Merritt and receiver Deebo Samuel even added rushing touchdowns, while Jayden Daniels looked steady passing the ball. The Commanders dominated the Giants a home.

The Packers were also dominant in their Week 1 game. The offense clicked as the they posted 27 points and a 14-point win over the Detroit Lions. Now, they are home again and looking to get off to a 2-0 start.

For the Commanders, Daniels remains a low-end QB1 option for me. I like Croskey-Merritt as an RB2, especially with Ekeler dealing with a shoulder injury. Ekeler is more of a flex option if he goes. In the passing game, Terry McLaurin struggled in Week 1 but I still like him as a start to bounce back a bit in Week 2. I like Samuel as a WR2 option as well, and Zach Ertz is a TE2 with upside.

For the Packers, Jacobs is an RB1 option. He gets the volume and is a vital part of the Packers’ offense. I like Jordan Love as a QB2 with some upside, too. Love spread the ball around well in Week 1 with Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft catching touchdowns. But Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Matthew Golden were all involved. Doubtless all five will be started by someone, but it’s hard to be confident of the volume for any of them. The one I feel best about is Kraft at tight end. Reed, Golden, and Doubs all have potential upside, but any could be a WR4 or lower. Consider your options and matchup when taking a swing.

Now, on to the Week 2 picks!
