Week 6 of the NFL season ends as the Buffalo Bills travel to battle the New York Jets. It’s a high-pressure game for both teams and could be a fascinating matchup. More on that below, but first let’s look at three other takeaways from Week 6 in the NFL.

The Bears are on fire

The Chicago Bears have won four games and head into their bye week 4-2. With the Lions, the Packers, and the Vikings also soaring in the NFC North, it’s shaping up to be a heck of a battle for the playoffs. Could this be the first division to get all four teams into the playoffs? The Bears are fighting hard to make sure they’re not the ones that get left behind. Caleb Williams looks like the No. 1 overall pick and this team looks like season-long contenders.

The Falcons are looking strong

It was a slow start for the Atlanta Falcons, but after winning three straight games against division opponents, the Falcons are now 4-2, leading the NFC South. The Buccaneers have been good at times, too, but the Falcons are starting to round into shape, making plays on defense and getting the ball to their playmakers on offense.

Justin Fields should start for the Steelers the rest of the season

Russell Wilson is back healthy. Yes, the Steelers picked him up for a reason. Yes, he was named starter before Week 1. But Fields is 4-2, doing well leading the Steelers. Why make a change? You could argue Fields hasn’t put up incredible numbers, but he’s reigned in the mistakes and led the Steelers to four wins. For the time being, Mike Tomlin should make a stand and put this ongoing saga to bed.

And now, on to Monday Night Football.

Buffalo Bills (3-2) at New York Jets (2-3)

The Bills were 3-0 and suffered two straight beatings at the hands of good AFC teams in the Ravens and Texans. They need a win to get back on track, especially against an AFC East opponent. The Jets, meanwhile, slumped to 2-3 with a loss in London. Then, the team fired Head Coach Robert Saleh. Then, the team demoted Offensive Coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, turning play calling over to Todd Downing. That means it’s a whole new ball game for the Jets, who want wins now. So, there’s plenty of pressure coming into this one.

For the Bills, Josh Allen is a start for me and a QB1 despite the matchup. I also like James Cook as an RB1. In the passing game, Dalton Kincaid is a low-end TE1 option. Among receivers, Khalil Shakir is tracking to return. He’s a WR3 for me, while rookie Keon Coleman is a boom-or-bust WR4.

For the Jets, Aaron Rodgers has struggled. Will he magically improve? I doubt it. He’s a QB2 for me. In the backfield, Breece Hall has also struggled. I expect a better game, but he’s sharing carries with Braelon Allen. I think Hall is an RB2 and Allen is an RB3/Flex. In the passing game, I like Garrett Wilson as a low-end WR1 and Allen Lazard as a WR3. I like Tyler Conklin as a tight end in the 12-15 range.

I’m taking the Bills to move to 4-2 in this one.
