We’ve made it to Week 5, and as we turn the page to October the race for the playoffs will start to heat up. That makes tonight’s divisional matchup that much more important. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the reigning NFC South Champions, now sitting at 3-1 atop the division. For the Falcons, it’s a second divisional clash in as many weeks as they seek to make a move of their own.

For the Buccaneers, Jalen McMillan missed Week 4 and is questionable for the Thursday game. I’m staying away. Mike Evans is a little banged up but should play. I like Baker Mayfield as a borderline QB1 with the way he’s slinging the rock. Evans and Chris Godwin are good plays at receiver, while Cade Otton is a TE2. In the backfield, Rachaad White is the main guy, but feels more like an RB2. I like Bucky Irving, too. He’s got some flex appeal, especially in a week with four teams on a bye.

For the Falcons, Bijan Robinson tweaked his hamstring. He’s gotten in limited practices and seems on track to play. If he goes, he’s a start for me. If he misses, Tyler Allgeier would be a great option to start. In the passing game, Kirk Cousins is still working his way back. He’s been a low-end QB2, and that’s about where he is for this week. I like Drake London in a WR2 range, and Darnell Mooney as a flex option. Tight end Kyle Pitts keeps getting targets but not always production. He’s a TE2 option.

Now, on to the Week 5 picks.
