The latest installment in the Planet of the Apes franchise is hitting theaters tomorrow titled Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. I share my review of the film and let you know if it’s worth checking out on the big screen.

“KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES” opens in theaters nationwide May 10, 2024.

Heading into the film I was unsure we needed another Apes movie so fast after Matt Reeves and Rupert Wyatt’s work on the most recent trilogy. However, I walked away astonished at what Josh Friedman did with the script and Wes Ball’s direction. This entire story is built with this journey of overcoming your mistakes, finding yourself and attempting to right some wrongs. It was a beautiful journey led by a magnetic performance of Owen Teague in the lead role of Noa. I break down more of what I loved in the review but this is a must see on the big screen.

A great review! Definitely looking to watch this movie soon. I’m a big fan of the original POTA franchise starring Andy Serkis. Serkis set such a high standard for these movies through his motion capture technology. I loved the third film in the series “War for Planet of the Apes”. Here’s why:

An excellent review. This is definitely one of my most anticipated movies of 2024. I am a massive fan of the original POTA franchise which starred Andy Serkis. Serkis set such a high standard for these movies through groundbreaking motion capture technology. I’m curious to see how a sequel will turn out with his absence.
