It’s not easy to follow your passion. It’s even harder when your body fails you or holds you back from what you want to achieve. That’s the case in Imperfect, a documentary that comes to digital platforms beginning Friday, February 16.
In Denver, Colorado, a group of actors come together to put on a production of the musical Chicago. The unique part of the production is the fact all the performers have overcome a disability to be part of the production. All of them are pursuing their dreams despite the obstacles that they face on a daily basis.
This documentary follows their stories and covers the production from auditions through their performances. We even find out how the show fared with critics, winning awards and leading to additional opportunities for many involved.
The film, directed by Regan Linton and Brian Malone, shares the stories of these performers and how they work to hone their craft and live out their dream. It’s inspiring and emotional as we follow the ups-and-downs of the production.
For those who enjoy stories of passion and working to overcome obstacles, this is one that’s worth checking out. It’s a quick watch, clocking in at about 77 minutes. It’s a story worth investing in as these performers make their way to the stage.
Imperfect comes to digital platforms on Friday, February 16.
