Week 11 of the NFL season comes to a close tonight the way last season ended—with the Eagles battling the Chiefs. We get a Super Bowl re-match, with both teams coming off a bye in Week 10. It should be a great battle and a great way to end the week. But before we get there, let’s look at what else we learned in Week 11.

Quarterbacks keep falling

We lost Deshaun Watson mid-week, as he’s now out for the season with a broken shoulder. Then we saw Joe Burrow injure his wrist, ending his season on Thursday night. Then Geno Smith was injured on Sunday, leading to Drew Lock entering the game. In the case of the Seahawks and Bengals, it was ultimately in a losing effort. They join Aaron Rodgers, Daniel Jones, Kirk Cousins and Anthony Richardson, who were already lost for the year. These missing players will certainly impact the quarterback race.

The Texans are for real

It wasn’t a perfect day for C.J. Stroud, and yet the Texans managed the 21-16 win over the Cardinals. The Texans are 6-4 and in the thick of the AFC playoff race. They have a huge meeting with the 7-3 Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12 that will go a long way in showing how each of those teams prepares for the post-season. But I’m excited about this young Texans team.

Brandon Staley and the Chargers are in trouble

The Chargers lost a tough one in Green Bay Sunday, dropping to 4-6. In a tight conference with a fierce playoff race, that’s not good enough. The Chargers continue to stumble and have been under-whelming in Staley’s tenure. Is it all on the coach? No, it’s not. But the team isn’t performing and that could ultimately be Staley’s undoing.

And now, on to Monday night’s game.

Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (7-2)

The Eagles and Chiefs were the best teams in the NFL in 2022. Through 10 weeks, they’re the top two teams in the league again. This meeting figures to be an exciting battle on the field and in fantasy.

For the Eagles, I’m starting Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and DeAndre Swift with confidence. Dallas Goedert is out, and the team acquired Albert Okwuegbunam at the end of the pre-season. I’m not saying it’s a great play, but it’s a big swing if you need a miracle.

For the Chiefs, you’re starting Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. I also like Isaih Pacheco as an RB2, and I like Rashee Rice the best of the receivers. He’s more of a WR3/flex, but there’s plenty of upside there.

I’m taking the Chiefs in this one.
