For this Week 8, the NFL is taking a break from bye weeks. That means all 32 teams will be in action, which gives fantasy players a full complement of players to choose from. But we still have an interesting matchup to kick off Week 8. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to battle the Buffalo Bills to begin the week.
The Buccaneers had an early lead in the NFC South but a pair of losses, including last week’s divisional battle with the Falcons, now have them in second place. The Bills, meanwhile, started strong. A 48-20 win over the Dolphins had them in first place in the AFC East, but back-to-back losses have them at 4-3 and in second place. So, it’s a pair of teams on losing streaks that need a win battling on Thursday night.
In terms of fantasy, for the Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield is a QB2. He’s been fine but not spectacular. Mike Evans is a top end WR2 for me, while Chris Godwin is more of a WR3. In the backfield, Rachaad White is getting all the touches, but he hasn’t been that productive. He’s an RB3 for me.
For the Bills, Josh Allen is one of the top quarterbacks in the game. He’s a treat with his arm and his legs. He’s a QB1 for me. In the backfield, I like James Cook as a low-end RB2. In the passing game, Stefon Diggs is a WR1 for me. The other options are Dalton Kincaid, who is a high-end TE2 for me with Dawson Knox out and Gabe Davis, who is a boom-bust flex option.
Now, on to me Week 8 picks.
