Week 7 of the NFL Season is here, and it presents some challenges for fantasy players. There are six teams on a bye—the Bengals, Cowboys, Titans, Panthers, Jets and Texans—which means every game counts. Let’s dive into this week’s matchup.

The Jaguars are 4-2 and in a great position to take control in the AFC South. The team has won three straight, with a Week 6 win over the Colts giving them a season sweep. The Saints, meanwhile, have used a stout defense and an up-and-down offense to get to a 3-3 record. The battle for the NFC South is tight, so the Saints need wins to keep pace.

For fantasy, Trevor Lawrence is dealing with a knee injury but figures to play Thursday night. Still, I have him as a QB2. I like Travis Etienne, who is having a solid season. He’s an RB1 for me this week. I also like Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley. Both have WR2 potential, especially with Lawrence, while Evan Engram is a low-end TE1. I don’t think Zay Jones plays, but even if he does, he’s a low-end play. He might get a touchdown to make his day but that’s not a sure bet.

For the Saints, Derek Carr has had a middling season. He’s a low-end QB2, but with only 26 teams playing you might need him in Superflex. Chris Olave is dealing with a toe injury, so watch his availability. If he goes, I’m playing him as a WR2. Michael Thomas is more of a WR4, while Rasheed Shahid is a boom-or-bust WR/Flex option. Juwan Johnson is still dealing with an injury, so even if he plays, I’m staying away. I do like Alvin Kamara as an RB1, especially with his passing game work.

Now, on to the Week 7 picks.
