Well, that was an exciting Week 1, right? We saw some great games, some unexpected outcomes and some unfortunate injuries. What else would you expect from the NFL. Well, as we begin Week 2, we get a heck of a matchup for the first game on Prime Video.

The Minnesota Vikings got off to a sluggish start. Facing a Bucs team at home, the Vikings were favored to win. Instead, it was a middling offensive and defensive performance that saw them fall 20-17 at home. For a team that won 13 games in 2022 only to have a slide in the playoffs, that was an ominous sign. Now, they get to travel to Philly.

The Eagles, meanwhile, got the win in New England. The team won 25-20, largely on the strength of some defensive plays early in the contest. The offense wasn’t bad but certainly wasn’t hitting on all cylinders. At home, against a mediocre Vikings team, they’ll look to change that.

For fantasy, you’re starting Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson for the Vikings. I liked what I saw from Jordan Addison enough to consider him in a flex spot in Week 2. We also saw a fine performance from Alexander Mattison. He’s more of a low-end RB2 or flex for me.

For the Eagles, you’re starting Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. The big question is the backfield. Kenneth Gainwell led in touches and production in Week 1, but he’s already been ruled out with injury. D’Andre Swift didn’t make much of an impact in Week 1 and Rashaad Penny was inactive, but both are big play threats. If you’re feeling lucky, roll the dice with one in a flex spot. But you’d be forgiven if you viewed the Eagles’ backfield as a stay away at this point.
