Super Bowl wrapped: These halftime performances have made almost $500,000 from YouTube views

The NFL Super Bowl 2023 is around the corner (Sunday, 12th February). There have been some incredible halftime performances over the years including the iconic Shakira & J.Lo performance in 2020. This year Rihanna is headlining, but which past performances are the most memorable?

Interested in which Super Bowl performance has made the most from YouTube views, the experts at Onlinecasinos.co.uk analyzed halftime performances since 2007 via Influencer Marketing Hub to determine the Super Bowl halftime performances predicted to have made the most from YouTube views.

  • Coldplay’s performance, along with guest appearances from Beyoncé and Bruno Mars back at the Super Bowl 50 in 2016, is the highest earner, potentially cashing in nearly half a million dollars! 
  • Shakira & J.Lo’s performance with 264 million views, could have a potential earning of $489,034.
  • Rihanna is set to deliver her first live performance since 2018 at this year’s Super Bowl, after taking time off to become a mother.

Onlinecasinos.co.uk can reveal that the Super Bowl halftime performance potentially making the most from YouTube views is British band Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars’ 50 in 2016 which amassed a whopping 267 million views. Beyoncé made a surprise appearance along with Bruno Mars, which may have led to the substantial amount of views. This has earned an estimated $497,331 (just under $10,000 more than second place earnings). 

In second place are Shakira & J.Lo who also gave a memorable latina inspired performance in 2020, amassing 264 million views (only 3,000 less views than Coldplay’s performance in first place). Their performance has an estimated take home value of $489,034. 

In third place is last year’s performance by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige, and Kendrick Lamar with an estimated earning of $296,239 from YouTube views. Although this is $201,092 less potential earnings than Coldplay’s performance in first place, this performance has only been on YouTube for one year, and is still in with a chance of becoming the highest earning performance of all time!

In fourth place is Lady Gaga’s 2017 performance with an estimated earnings of $140,291 from YouTube views. Lady Gaga also performed the national anthem the year before in 2016, however only has 2.7 million views for this performance.

Closely following in fifth is the performance by Katy Perry, who was joined by Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz in 2015. With 75 million views on YouTube, their performance could earn an estimated $140,277. However, interestingly this performance was in fact the most viewed on TV (118.5 million viewers to be exact).
