On Tuesday, the Chargers announced they re-signed wide receiver Mike Williams to a three-year, $60 million contract. Williams was due to be a free agent and rumored to be a Franchise Tag target, but both sides agreed to a long-term deal first.
Williams was drafted No. 7 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft and has played with the Chargers his entire career. In 2021, he had a career year, catching 76 passes for 1,146 yards and nine touchdowns on 129 targets. His return secures Justin Herbert’s top two weapons in Williams and fellow receiver Keenan Allen.
