Film Twitter definitely swoons and buckles in for any movie-watching Timothée Chalamet. Film Twitter also definitely swoons and buckles in for any movie-watching Oscar Isaac. Now put them both in a movie, Film Twitter EXPLODES. Now in that same movie, have Isaac play Chalamet’s dad, I don’t even know how to say what will happen. But we are getting this with Dune in 2020? 2021? 2022? Who knows, just coming soon to a theater only.

Ever since Denis Villeneuve’s Dune was announced we have all been extremely hyped up. I, personally, have loved everything Villeneuve has put out so far and he is one of the most exciting directors working today. Every time a casting announcement was made I became even more excited. Timothée Chalamet? Oscar Isaac? Javier Bardem? Josh Brolin? Rebecca Ferguson? Zendaya? Charlotte Rampling? Jason Momoa? Sign. Me. Up!!

However, out of all these announcements, the most exciting announcement was that Oscar Isaac is playing Timothée Chalamet’s DAD! Could there have ever been such a hot father/son pairing in the history of cinema? Absolutely not and there never will be a hotter pair after this. I’m not really sure they would actually pass as father/son on the street, but that’s not what this is about. Based on looks and screen presence alone, this is the most powerful and attractive father/son duo to grace the screen. I can say this confidently with only having seen the trailer.

When the first set of images from Dune were released, we didn’t see Chalamet and Isaac together. However, now that we have a full trailer, boy have we seen our father/son pair in action! (give me this movie now!) Isaac is rocking a full-blown Zeus level beard and Chalamet has his emo boy hair in full effect (more on emo boys later).

Now I have read the novel by Frank Herbert and I am excited to see this movie in general, but this casting of two glorious-looking men does not go unnoticed. To say, “I’m watching Dune (202?) for the plot” and post photos of Chalamet and Isaac would not be incorrect. Did I order Funko dolls of the two of them? Perhaps… Was that a waste of money? No, not at all.

From the images released to the trailer, it looks like both Chalamet and Isaac are at their peak hotness and I cannot imagine watching scenes with them as father/son. Am I ready for this? How many babies will be born 9 months after Dune is released? Only time will tell.
