Making-of ‘The Godfather’ Movie Casts Oscar Isaac and Jake Gyllenhaal

The most iconic film of all time, The Godfather, is not getting remade, relax, but the production of the film is getting turned into a feature film. Director Barry Levinson is tackling the film version of the making of The Godfather starring Oscar Isaac as the Oscar-winning Francis Ford Coppola and Jake Gyllenhaal starring as Robert Evans, the head of Paramount Pictures at the time of production. I thought Dune (2020? 2021?) was going to be the hottest movie of all time, but Isaac and Gyllenhaal have me thinking this will be giving it a run for its money.

The production of the film was almost as quite as dramatic as the film itself. With changes to the location of filing, major casting disagreements between the studio and director, the studio on the verge of collapsing, and many more obstacles. Obviously, The Godfather became a huge success and is one of the most universally beloved films ever released.

Francis Ford Coppola himself has given the film his approval according to Deadline and said, “Any movie that Barry Levinson makes about anything, will be interesting and worthwhile!”

Who else would you like to see cast? Do you want Al Pacino to take up de-aging effects again to play a younger Al Pacino? Only me? Ok.
