The theater experience for A Quiet Place was an absolutely perfect experience. I saw the first movie in theaters, and have yet to rewatch it again because I didn’t want to diminish my thoughts on the film as a collective whole.
I am one that didn’t think we needed a sequel but obviously in Hollywood, money talks.
From the looks of it we are going to get so more back story on what transpired and how these “creatures” took over the planet. I am more than okay with them going down this road as you were wondering some of these questions as you are watching the first film. Emily Blunt is a phenomenal actress and I look forward to watching her in this role again.
The trailer looks intense and did a great job of giving me enough layers to get me excited about seeing this movie.
With the end of the first film, you could see a sequel coming. The ambiguity of the ending of the first film with the questions like, “will they make it”, are now going to be answered. John Krasinski needs to be on his game with the direction and the script in this one to make this feel like a real horror film, and not just a cash grab for a studio. The first film was an experience unlike any other that I do not think will be captured in the same way in this film.
All that to say, I really liked this trailer. Tying back and forth with the beginning of the attack and taking us through new and exciting places. This one has a much more horror feel to it, the only issue is, already knowing the monsters takes away a little bit from that aspect of things. I am excited for this, but I just hope it doesn’t ruin what a great film the first one was.
